As the title says my sport is doing the above will sometimes stutter then drive fine for a bit, fault code is coming up with a code that doesnt relate to anything, Idles and drives a bit better if I unplug the sensor in the induction pipe, ATS isnt it?
What are the symptoms of the ATS going?

might be the map sensor, on the bulk head behind your battery, theres a pipe on there pritty easy to break, had to replace mine this weekend. the pipe might be split or can be the sensor pipe might of snapped

As above, i had it go on my old tigra. Even on my sport it has perished, i just cut 3"'s off where the split was and put it back on.

Tried EGR Valve? That's what happened to my X16XE, I just disconnected it until I replaced it.

Unplugged EGR valve made no difference, map sensor pipe is ok.
Any more ideas?

i could still be your egr valve. basicly ur egr valve is a valve that opens up under high revs and recirulates exhaust gasses back into the throttle body and into the inlet.
if your egr valve is wedged open with carbon depostis or in my case a chunk of metal ( which even after stiping engine cudnt find where it came from) then under low revs it is still recirculating the exhaust gasses into the inlet.
you will loose back pressure and it will be recirculating exhuast gasses when it needs clean air so on low revs it will cut out.
unpluging the egr only works appears to fix the problem if the egr itself is playing up but if the valve is stuck open u will need to take it off and unwedge it or replace.
be warned tho i replaced mine and then this happend again and again so i ended up blacking the valve off and placing a new UNBLOCKED egr valve under the battry tray and pluged it in.

Im in the middle of changing my egr valve (always dark when i finish work so dont get much time) and my old one feels rough and sticks open and is harder to open than my new one so hopefully its that, thanks for the explanation .
