My laptop sound has stopped working.
I plugged it in to my TV before with the HDMI like I usually do and it hasn't worked since. I dont have any sound whether I plug headphones or HDMI in.
When I press the volume up sensor it comes as being muted so I've gone to the volume control bar and unmuted it but it makes no difference, still comes up as being muted.
Any ideas? I always seem to have problems with Vista doing stupid little things like this. Seems so tempermental

What are you trying to play stuff through? It'll have changed the output to HDMI out instead of the seperate audio out.
Not sure where it would be tho... gimme 2 mins to have a nose around
I say 2 mins, took 10 seconds, control panel, then sound, and you'll have a choice of output, choose speakers instead of HDMI.
That's what i'd assume anyway

It just randomly turned the sound back on!
It wouldn't play sound through the laptop speakers and it wouldn't play sound through the TV when I had it plugged in by HDMI
