Hi all,
Last 2-3 weeks my cars been spluttering quite bad at low idle and waving between 500-1800RPM but once the revs go past 1800RPM(ish) it's fine so assuming it's the ICV.
Whats the best way of cleaning and maintaining them as would rather try that first before dishing out for a new one!
It's the X18XE1 engine.

remove and bath in WD40/carb cleaner.
or if you cba to remove it, put a teaspoon of clean engine oil down the pipe that goes into it.
Best thing is to remove it though.

I had very similar problems. I did replace the IACV which made no difference. I then cleaned the breathes pipes out which were blocked and the throttle body including butterfly. Has been fine ever since!
