no it is true.
And they are infact only piggy backing off o2's hardware, so in essence you'll get the same quality of service as you do with o2.

At that price you're getting the 3G not the 3GS though. If you want that you're paying another £100.

So it's £320 for the cheapest 3GS. Might have one at that price :/

Tesco certainly isn't cheap, infact quite the opposite -
£320 for the 16GB 3Gs + £240 for the contract (which is 600 mins or 1200 texts to your 5 favourite numbers, or 300 mins or 600 texts otherwise) = £800 for 12months
If you don't mind loosing the visual voicemail, it's cheaper to buy the 16GB 3GS at £440 (can get it cheaper off ebay) and get the £20 (600mins AND 1200 texts) simplicity tarrif from O2 - only works out at £675 for 12months.

It's a phone and an iPod Touch all rolled into one. And the Touch alone costs what, a couple of hundred? Worth it IMO.

By my maths that equals £560.

If you're buying the phone and then buying a pay monthly SIM separate you can get a SIM from o2 which includes;
600 minutes, 1200 texts, unlimited data (GPRS, EDGE and 3G), unlimited wifi (TheCloud, OpenZone) and visual voicemail for £20 a month.
edit: The SIM is on a 1 month rolling contract.

yep, feck knows how i got that, eitherway it isn't a great deal, not bad but not great especially if you contact more than 5 people.
noshua - isn't that O2 simplicty tariff? Also visual voicemail is network specific and generally isn't supported on non-iphone contracts.
I'm also assuming tesco offer the visual voicemail feature?

@Dom, yeah it's the 'Simplicity for iPhone' deal, available on o2 only, I mentioned that in the first post though
I transferred my contract onto it earlier, until they bring out a 12-month version with a discount.

Didn'y know they've released a simplicity sim deal for iphone users, i'm guessing it's for people that are just coming out of their contracts.
Has anyone got a link? I did briefly see it on the site but it's disappeared

it's a thread about iphones, take your trolling elsewhere
bubble - it's not even 5 numbers for free, it's 5 favourite numbers at reduced cost - 10p per min/5p text instead of 20p and 10p.
However, i think (don't think voda will beable to beat £560) it's currently the cheapest tariff to get an iphone on......

If you phone up they should be able to offer it you - although I had to go through to Retentions to get the deal.
