1st off, this isn't a post asking which is the best, or who's got what... but what I'd like to know is, why do certain people feel so compelled to continue preaching to other's that one is better than the other?
Personally, I love them both and for different reasons.. I only have one, but in the new year I will be buying the other.
I just can't understand what people think they're going to achieve by bitching about the "rival" system and preaching about how great theirs is

Yes, well done... but what do people think will come of this sort of preaching?
I've got a PS3, do you think I'm going to get rid of it or stop using it for playing games because you've told me this?
I am going to buy a 360 next year but merely to use when the PS3 is already in use, and for viewing Sky Player in the bedroom. Doesn't mean I'll be getting rid of my "glorified DVD player"

I like how everything is built into the 360 and you don't have to spend another £200 to get online and watch the odd blu-ray.

The only thing the Xbox has better than the Puss3 is the online. IMO

2x cat5's and a set of HDMI baluns up to my bedroom is sorting that out for me.. the controllers have enough reach because the bedroom is above the lounge

Iv got both, I prefer the ps3 purely because all my friends have it and theres no point me me buying a game with no one to play online with. I do think the ps3 is better value in the fact its built better and dont like that ms charge for everything , their headset, their play and charge kit, their overpriced harddrives, its quite loud compared. I do thing the exclusives are much better though, I love playing forza, l4d and halo.

Ian wasn't impressed after the last one of these threads
I was originally a ps2 geek, it was the best system at the time, had the best games and my mates owned them so we could swap games.. I also had an xbox a Christmas later that lacked games.. There was the of good game like forza and halo
then the puss 3 came out at some extortionate amount which ruled it out for a few years, I got a 360 and at first the games were kinda cack (saints row)
but now it seems to have all the best titles and due to being cheaper it's more accessible meaning my mates have them, so what if you have to play to play online.. Its better in my opinion, being a premium service there's rarely anything wrong with it

honestly i prefer everything about the ps3. the menu's, the features it has, the way it looks the lot. i just prefer the xbox online. i do own both and regularly use both. xbox for online games, ps3 for offline games and watching films.
only ps3 fans actually care. xbox people are too busy playing games to wonder about it.
