Those xbox geeks aint got nothing on us PS3 boys.

From Gamestation Ł19.99

Got two sorts. First one sits on top of the controller (like the Xbox version), I didn't get this sort simply becuase i find it harder to type.

Second sort is one that sits nice under the controller where the tow thumb-sticks are, and clips onto the top of the controlley above the 'SONY' logo and even got a hole for the usb lead. I'm presuming that both sorts are wireless I know the one i've got is.

What do ya think?

I'm sure you can use any bluetooth or wireless keyboard with the PS3? (not sure which it is).

Seems stupid having it attached to the controller - get a nice mini keyboard for your lap!

Thats quite cool, you can plug any usb or bluetooth one but that seems easier and more convenient.

I prefer the Xbox one as it is an official part that looks as though it fits abit better.

I am still unsure as to the benefits of such an add on though.

Does the PS3 have MSN messenger or anything like that that would make a product like this really appealing?

Not trolling, I actually don't know!

Nah theres no MSN on PS3, suppose it would be useful for posting on forums or else talking to random people on PS home.

Meh, doesn't appeal to me, I'll stick with the on screen keyboard and controller

Yes i could of had a mini keyboard on my lap but it'll just get thrown onto the floor after abit.

Doug - No it doesn't have msn, but does have web browser, (as noshua said). I like it.

Jamie-C, It takes forever to type a message on with the controller. lol.

Yea I know it does but I don't do much typing on it anyway If you do a lot of web browsing then yea, can see why it would be useful

can do that on PS3, although unlike the Xbox 360 no game supports gaming via a mouse and keyboard. Closest accessory is FragFX, which looks a bit shite but not doubt will be easier than a controller for FPS....

That's the first one i mentioned above, don't liek the idea of stretching for the keys, like them to be at thumb distance.

I'm not keen on any of the controller keypads for the PS3. The DS3 has an odd shape for things to attach to it. I wouldn't use it enough anyway. I have an old Logitech USB/wireless keyboard I can plug in if I even need a keyboard for web, Home, etc.

The Xbox controller looks like it lends itself much better to add-on attachments. The official keypad looks quite good, simple and comfortable to use.
