Just connect via cable and/or bluetoooth. Then using your phones pc software should be able to do it.
No shouldnt have bought an iphone. Apple didnt invent using the phone as a modem. I used to go online using my 6110 (the origional 6110) back in the day. At a whacking great speed of 33.6kbps

Sony Ericsson have had it round for years too. Just plug the phone in and use the software to connect to the internet. Job done.

Yup - used this to work while my car was being serviced last time. As long as you have a decent signal its great.

What OS is it running?
If its windows then you should be able to do it using Actice Sync (i think thats what its called). What i used a while ago when i had a PDA/Phone thing.

There are various, search for wifi tether and you will find a few, i'm not sure what wired ones are called.
As said, unless you download gigs they'll never know, there is no way for the phone company to tell.

I would only use it the odd time, sometimes its just handy to be able to.
Is there no way of doing it wirelessly with wifi? (no bluetooth on laptop)

Well its unlmiited enough for me. I've used it a number of times, one month quite a lot and O2 have not made a single murmur so its far from "fail"

Be careful using the mobile as a modem, you may be charged buy provider for connection.
Best thing is the proxy the connection so i appears all the surfing is done by the handset.

Joikuspot turns your mobile in the wireless access point then u simply connect to it.
