Can get an mot for £12.50 down here!

Put it in for the MOT, if it fails for scrubbing then put some steelies on before the retest.

my dad does mot's, he does them 4 £20, if it fails then it can have a free re-test within 14 days!

Not neccessarily. Required to give free retest if they do the repair work but can charge if vehicle is taken off site as they require to do a full retest on its return.

All places I or my mates have been too do free restests if you take the car away to fix. That includes the place that somehow manages to do mots for £12.50!

I was under the impression that there were set DVLA/government fees for MOT charges.
Anyway I paid £39 for mine.

DVLA set maximum levels which class 4 is £39 something but you can do it for free or anywhere upto that amount so long as you do it properly.
