depends on the copper i guess, i know a few guys who helped me out with my corsa had issues with them in their RS turbos years ago argued that the raised peak of the bonnet ends could be dangerous, cant see them spotting a small lift tho thats what im going for.

Unless it's actually cooling your engine down it's completely gay, can't see it being illegal though.

its cooling my inlet because its chrome now and mine is raised by 1 inch i think but it doesnt look too over the top like

you use 2 bolts to attach to the hinge then 2 bolts to attach to the bonnet on each side

cant see them being against the law the new gtr has raisers which move the bonnet in case of a collision looks exactly like bonnet raisers
