i started changing my brakes on sunday thinking it would be an easy job! not on my car!

i've got the calipers, pads and guide thing off im just stuck on the 1 screw that holds the disc on. its like 2 cm deep and it has taken me a good 5 hours to get the drivers side out with an Impact driver.

now i've chewn the head i was wondering where i could get a replacement set of screws from, would i have to go to vaux or would places like B&Q be fine?

oh yeah does anyone have any ideas of how i can get the second one out? the impact driver isn't working too well, i've tried for an hour so far and it won't budge

the other problem is that i have to have my car fixed by friday cause i've got it booked into powerflow on their special offer thingy cause of their opening week.

cheers

Here is what I would do:
Carefully Drill through the screw with a small 3/4 mm metal drill.
It should then cause the screw to basically shatter. Then you just need to clean the hole out.
Vauxhall should definitely have replacement ones you can buy for about 20p.

you dont need to replace the screw. The wheel n hub n bolts will hold the disc on.

have you been at it solid for 3 days mate ?
do what bobosaid, or get a extractor set from halfords or somewhere, its like a reverse drill thread so it drills into the screw then spins it out.

If you need to do it in a hurry. jack the car up as high as safely possible. Get it on axle stands, stick your tyre under the sill (just in case) stick it on full lock get your mate to hold the wheel and whack it with a hammer, the screw will snap.

the only reason the screw is there is so that the discs dont fall off when u take the wheels off. no need to have one. drill it out or hit discs with a hammer as mentioned above
