you need to remove your old linkage and fit all the bits off that to this one, kinda hard to explain with no pics but you will understand when you get it to bits

jack front up, remove battery tray if its removable wil be harder if its not!
iirc you need to remove the rear gearbox mount as it sits inside it, did you get the smaller side to side rod too?

I fitted mine the other week.
I just had that one part.
Battery and tray out and you'll be able to see the linkage. There's a circlip at each end where it attaches to other rods, remove the clip at the c shaped end from the top then the other end clip needs to be removed from underneath. Once the clips are out move the rods away then there's just a pin through the middle which needs unclipping from the top then pull it out (you'll recognise it when you see it). Once that's out it's a case of wriggling and spinning the linkage towards the driver's side then let it drop to the floor.
Swap any bits needed onto the new linkage then refit in reverse order.
It is fiddly to do but when you see it it's fairly obvious how it goes.
Not sure if that pic is actually your linkage so if you're using the nylon bushes, before you try refitting it just try putting the pin that I mentioned through the bushes why it's off the car. The hole in one of my bushes was too small so had to open it up slightly. The pin still needs to be a firm fit though so just keep trying it if you are having to open it up at all.

As per Mike B's reply but I would add that you need to unbolt the linkage from the knurled selector rod with a 13mm spanner and reset the gears after (can be done using drill bits!).
