Being a clutz I have accedently tripped over the wire when listening to my Ipod thus bending the inner jack plug and now the sound when coming from the port isn't 100% clear. Sometimes only coming out of one speaker.
See picture below.
Is there anyway of repairing this or would you bite the bullet and pay for it to be repaired by a specialist? Got a couple of quotes ranging from £60 - £80 so its not a huge bill but all the same, if anybody knows of a way or "How to" I'd very appriciative.
Thanks,
Joe

for 60-80 all they'll be doing is soldering a new one on, depends how handy you are with a soldering iron.

Oh. Well I need to look for a replacement. Any ideas where? What to look for? Don't care if it takes me hours.
Would rather not spend it but if they can repair it back to new / with a new part etc then it is something to think about.

Open it up, find out exactly what the jack looks like then you'll get one from maplin/ebay/rs

Would you search from part numbers on the actual jack plug John?

If it has one yes, otherwise just for anything that will fit.
