Right, after rebooting my laptop yesterday, it seems to be running nice a quick...
I have also deleted Kaspersky as I was informed that it was taking up a huge amount of space on the laptop and it would most likely run slower while running Kaspersky!
I dont know if this is true, but I want a free antivirus software download that is good.
Before the laptops formatting it was running Kaspersky...

What's the best one to go for???

Thanks

Kaspersky is pretty good but if you're after a free one then Avast all the way. AVG has been useless since version 8.0, don't bother with it.

All the free ones are wank TBH. I don't care what people say, I've had to clean up a damn site more machines infected with viruses that have AVG or Avast on them than something like Norton installed.

Have you used Norton Internet Security Suite 2011, or are you just referring to a memory of Norton from 10 years ago?

It's quick to install, doesn't get in the way of what you're doing, and actually detects stuff even for those that use Internet Exploder.

I install it on all my customer's PCs and they've not had any problems of virus/malware infection, unlike the guy who uses Avast that I've had to reformat and reinstall Windows for recently because his Windows install was completely fucked up due to various malware infections.

Norton is one of the worst programs ever!! Probably worse than a virus, and takes loads of system resources up.

Norton/McAfee are balls.

NOD32 is where it's at.

Anything with 'suite' in the name should be avoided like the plague.

John knows the score! I wouldn't recommend Norton even if it was free, it's just a bloated piece of shite.
NOD32 is certainly one of the best AV's out there. Avast if you want a freebie.

Sam - Install Spybot and Spyware Blaster. These two apps will sort a lot of problems with malware/spyware for IE users.

I just tell them not to use shitty IE to be honest.

Honestly, try a trial of Norton 2011, you'd be surprised how good it is now (like most of you I use to think it was shit but they sorted themselves out now).

McAfee is still crap BTW.

Internet Explorer? Fucking hell, it gets better! lol

I'm not using any AV at the minute, but when I do, I use nod32/kaspersky
