hi can anyone tell me if my corsa sport 1.4 16v ecotec 1996 have a transponder as im doing a conversion to x16xe?? as someones told me the 1.6 have a transponder but some x14xe's dont? so the wiring wouldnt be there??

Should be there mate. Just take the cowling cover off the and if its there you'll be able to see it around the ignition barrel

If its not there have a look for any loose plugs on the loom in that area. It might still have the wiring even without the transponder setup

ahh i see i shall look in the morning for it.if i havent got one what would i need to do to fit an x16xe ??

If the wiring isn't there I'd say the best option would be to change the dash loom for one from a post 97 sport or similar which has all the wiring you need. Fingers crossed its already there for you though.
