all you have to do is register it as a 2.0 and any insurance company will insure it with the number plate

Utter pish mate, if you phoned up the likes of churchill, direct line and the like to get them to insure you on a 2lt corsa they'd tell you to politely fuck off. Number plate thing as well, as said above.
