time to renew and still nto settled on phone but as I'm currently with 02 and have no issues with them I was intending on staying with them. Had a look on Orange as well and they were pretty similar deals give or take but for the phones I was looking at, they all had a handset fee varying from £49.99 to £149.99 dependent on contract length, type of phone and tariff.
Fair enough, but it appears that if I take the contract out through Phones4U instead, the same tarrif and contract length gives all of the phones I'm looking at free.
Is this correct or am I missing something??

Im sure I read somewhere that providers were meant to be starting to offer 12 month contracts again, something to do with fair trading
Although they will probably offer them and then charge a redic amount so no one takes them out!

I took out a 12 month Vodafone contract back in June.
600minutes, unlimited messages, 500mb of data plus Blackberry usage (when it works!) for £40 a month. Got a free 9780 with it so not too sad really. Can upgrade in December as well!
