I visited a customer yesterday that has a PC running Windows 2000 and a couple of DOS programs that someone years ago wrote for them to calculate costs for parts that they manufacture.
I'm quoting them on a new system running Windows 7 Pro, do we think they will be able to run these DOS programs still in W7?

If they run on Win2k they'll probably run on Win7 x86

Just seen there's a program you can use called DOSBox which seems to fit the bill

As long as the folder structure is right you'll probably get away with it working anyway.

It might work but again it emulates DOS and has it's issues. The only thing you can do is test the DOS program under each environment. You could obviously VirtualBox 2000 and nail down security.
Failing that, get them to upgrade the software
