My mate has just removed a c20xe from his track car. Offered me the carbs of it for £400. Including manifold, carbs, fuel lines pump and filter and air filter socks. Wanna put them on my 20xe but wondering how much more money/work would I need to put in?
I'm told I could just get rid of the fuel injector and air flow meter plugs and run the rest of the standard loom and ecu, correct? Or would I need to get cav 1.6 mk2 dizzy and coil then wire them in? Would that be it?
Thanks

You'll need either the cav dizzy if its a diszzy engine you have, or aftermaket ignition management (megajolt for example) if its a coilpack engine. For £400 that sounds likea very nice deal. Would certainly cost more than that to buy seperately. What carbs are they?

Twin webbers, 40 or 45's I think. They have been set up on his coil pack engine. Yeah it a dizzy engine. I've just heard different things about sorting the ignition system

Carbs u need a cav dizzy 1.6 mk2 vac adv. Or buy the h+h setup but there about 250 new.
As for going standalone on coilpack engine...)Our binning all the injection/inlet, sensors etc so makes no odds dizzy or coilpack engine to start.
Twin 40s are only gud for a standard xe, want cams etc you must have 45s
