I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

Buy Rapidshare and then install Internet Download Manager (IDM)

Just get utorrent and get on PirateBay, don't pay for anything, that's not what piracy is about

Yeah, fuck paying for stuff. May as well just get a love film account and get the stuff legit if you are going to give £100 a year away.

I enjoy being able to download pretty much anything at full speed, not 10KB/s

I was of the not paying to pirate opinion but now I've got it all set up, newsgroups are brilliant.

£60 a year (£5/month, 16p/day) is hardly breaking the bank.
That's less than two pints a month which I'm more than happy enough to pay for the convenience.

Convince yourself however you like mate, whatever works for you
However, convenience doesn't even come into it does it?

One is secure, one isn't......
Edit - As noshua you also have the benefit of maxing out your connection and usually it gets round packet inspection (one of the reasons why Virgin employs soft-caps which is controlled headend) unlike Torrents.
You pays your money and you takes your chances though.

Newsgroups are ideal definitely, I just don't like having to pay, it's as simple as that really.

never really thought about it like that. Having said that I have acquired more than 1200 films total over 3TB and its not really cost me more than 120 quid. Couldpay for love film but for what I'm looking its the only option.

Don't click on that massive download link, there's a little one you need to click on, "GET THIS TORRENT" and it has a little magnet icon next to it - that is the 'proper' one, the other one is just spam/malware shit.

DVDrips are always better quality, depends on what quality you're after and how much you wanna download, a proper DVDrip will be around 4gb
For about 2 years I had a rapidshare premium account back when most people used it, I always got better speeds than torrents and it was ideal. But now RS is awful, and I get just as good speeds on torrents, so that's what I now use, according to utorrent I've downloaded 212gb in the last 30 days lol!
