Anyone done this?

Currently on with it, Bluetooth keyboard and mouse on order along with micro USB to HDMI adapter.

Should be interesting....

How well does it run? Quite cool how you could carry one device around which could be your phone, PC, media player, wifi hotspot and a few other things all combined.

Runs alongside android. Same as dual boot on a PC.

Ed, will let you know what it runs like when the adaptor comes, but aparantly is quite smooth.

If it works, then it removes my need for a desktop PC

Gone through one guide, wasnt till the end i realised you had to tightVNC into Ubuntu from your phone, which i thought was a bit ghey so trying another way now

Got it working. Still have to VNC into it and its quite a basic version of Ubuntu its put on but still pretty cool.

Completly usless untill i get the HDMI converter.

Deleted the above install.

All worked fine but wont VNC in from my desktop nor from the phone.

Might delete it all and try again tomorrow. cant be arsed now

Gonna connect it up to the TV to play with for now, then providing all the functionality is there i'll get a new HDMI monitor for home and a nice looking dock for the phone.

I will if the functionality is there. Sound, video and network mainly, and i'll use it for browsing etc at home as my laptop is fooked anyway.
