Ive gold hold of a 1993 1400cc 8v MPi engine from an astra Si. I want to fit this into my corsa 1.0 12v, what do I need, and is it a hard job, or the same as any other engine swap?
Labour wise it is not a problem, as my dad is a mechanic, and will do the work, but we want to know if we've got all the bits and whether it will take the next millenium to fit or not.
Parts we've got: Engine block, ECU, Driveshafts. What else is required?
Would the mounts on the astra block be the same as the ones on the corsa? As it is the same engine used in the early SRi models.
Will it make a big difference that im fitting a 4 cylinder engine to replace the 3 cylinder one?
Any advice or comments appreciated, but no nasty ones!

ok will do, got an engine conversion specialist looking at it next week, to quote me on fitting as my dad may just let someone else do the work, that way if anything does go wrong, then we got some comeback on it all. Forgot to say, ive also got the gearbox and i think ive got the loom too...

the only prolem with the 1lt 12v is the wireing is a pain in the arse
if u havent got the chip out of the Key and the immobilizer from round ignition, its not worth a piss in a pot, as u will never get the cunt started.
