As some may know, Google is on its way with a cloud storage solution similar to Dropbox.
Google Drive, as it's called, has a larger free storage of 5 gb, compared to Dropbox. However, everything you fill into this 5 gb hole may be used, reused and distributed by Google. Forever!
quote:
When you upload or otherwise submit content to our Services, you give Google (and those we work with) a worldwide licence to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, create derivative works (such as those resulting from translations, adaptations or other changes that we make so that your content works better with our Services), communicate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute such content.
The rights that you grant in this licence are for the limited purpose of operating, promoting and improving our Services, and to develop new ones. This licence continues even if you stop using our Services
That's pretty scary to be honest.
Comparison to competitors can be found here:

Saw this on twitter when it was announced a few weeks back. Scary really, won't use them for that reason. I've got 10gb in Dropbox now for free anyway and hover around 25% full.

When you don't pay for a product, you are the product.

It means squat as you retain the IP, it just covers their arses so they can use targeted advertising and they have similar T&Cs with GMail and the rest of their services.

I'm not scared, I'll put my data on it and not worry about it.

This thread is getting very boring.
I still don't see this bothering regular users, Facebook effectively owns and can re-use any photos that are uploaded but you don't hear any stories of them using them for anything.
