If you skim the head, it will raise the CR.

seh head is a good upgrade that will raise comp and get seh cam and that will make it bit quicker,
but if you want to do what im doing its easy to do but hard to find parts
18e head
18e inlet system full set up
fpr
reason is because the old gte (18e) engine has bigger ports bigger valves and raises bhp up and compression up. abit il have to find out how much again
but i have all my parts just got to get head skimmed and everything brought then it will all go together.
hope that makes sense and helps lol

No, the valve cut outs are different.

fail.
8v's dont have cut outs,
use xe pistons cant remember the exact ratio they'll give you but sure it's over 11.0-1

I thought they worked as I no someone that's got them fitted with worked head and cam and it goes well can you use a standard head gasket with xe pistons? I might do this as I have a 8v bottom end and xe pistons

you can also have the block skimed to raise the ccomp ratio, you should be able to get a steel head gasket 1.2mm thick and you can then get 0.6mm piston protrusion at tdc. have you spoken to engine engine builders like PEC or Ashford Motor sport?

Not spoke to an engine builder yet the thin head gasketvi found was 0.8mm
