...I f**king hate it
I love what I do in IT, but I'm technical, network architecture, desktop/laptop/tablet/mobile device deployment/management, learning enhancement etc. I hate websites! Using wordpress the latest one I'm doing but you still spend forever pissing around with it. Wish I'd subbed this one out
That is all

If you get a decent theme then you save a lot of hassle, certainly could get something reasonable done within a day.

After doing a tonne of WordPress themes, I've come to the conclusion that it's an arse to work with. It doesn't really follow any conventions and there's a lot of pre-PHP5 fail in it still.
Bit of a shame really because it's a nice concept as a whole and good to work with for blogging and keeping content up to date.

Some well known websites run on sharepoint
You can tailor it quite a bit, famous recent examples include, Ferrari, fiat and starbucks

Doesn't change the fact that as a CMS, Sharepoint is pretty horrific, bloaty and expensive to develop for and license compared to what else is out there; same goes for EPiServer or Concrete5 which are also popular in 'enterprises'.

Share point is bollocks, memory hogging bloat ware. I'm using a theme on Wordpress now but I still dislike it lol!

Unless you're trying to compete with the Indians who work for 50p an hour!

Use a decent sales pitch and overcharge the client. Then get the Indians to build it. Win/Win.
