... the x16xe engine found in the Corsa and the x16xev or x16xel whatever one it is that is found in the Astra?
Anyone know? Just that my mate has a 52reg Astra 1.6 16v Sxi and wants to know whether my Dbilas throttle bodies would fit in his car.

I think the inlet manifold is the difference. Its restricted even more to lower the power to 100BHP hence the L on X16XEL

Im pretty sure his Astra will be drive by wire throttle, so he wont be able to use em i'd have thought

XEL is the high torque version. Has slightly higher torque at a lower RPM level, and peak power is 100bhp as opposed to 106bhp.

besides that engine used in the corsa b gsi / sport was only used in astra mk 3 s, none of the mk 4 s.

guy in my town has a 1.6 16v astra engine with sbd throttle bodies ofr a corsa on it, cant see why yours would be any different.
