Right what would cause this it happens all the time and is real bad when braking the steering wheel shakes and it aint the wheel balancing i had this done to make sure and the wheels aint buckled, and just had the wheel alighment done electronically any ideas could it be worn top suspension mounts or some thing

could be a whole host of things
no spiggot ring
if its only under braking then its likely to be warped disc'c
if it happens on long fast corners then knackered ball joints, bushes, top mounts etc

it's likely to be worn bushes or ball joints
they are only rubber after all, and i doubt they've ever been changed in the lifetime of the car
Adam, ur's just need balanced

yo greasemonkey, a micometer check how thick the rotors are and not for warped rotors. it a good chance that it is cause by warped dics.

the micrometer was put on and clamped and the disk spun and a gauge watched for any difference in reading this was done on the out side lip of the disk, inside and middle

Mine shakes when I hit 65 through 75. It is the wheel alignment- get them re-aligned and should sort it (only costs a few £). If it does it all the time then I dunno

jack up the car and spin the wheel if the tyre is distorted you will see it move to the side or the tread jumps like a high spot on the tyre

not sure what cause's it but the only way to fix it is a new tyre.take the car to a garage and ask them to check your tyres and balance probably be a free check.
