Doesnt sound right to me mate 
I read somewhere you can claim the exhaust as a "consumer" no thats not it - anyways as something and your insurance shouldnt be effected 
Im sure someone will know what I meen.

Depends what insurance company it is, but yeah you would expect it to go up a bit. Just make sure you tell them it doesn't increase performance of the car.

mine had to increase for an extra £150 for vauxinsurnace, so i thought fcuk it and changed to CIS which dont charge for mods

Are you sure...... Im with Endsleigh at the moment and they wont let me declare anything - So at the min even though Im paying insurance Im F*cked if I have a crash.
Really need to get insurance that I can declare and not pay much more that what I do now

I have declared, 17's -40mm springs and shox, grooved disks, nearly £2000 of ice, an extra 30BHP over standard on my GSI, Tinted windows, exhaust, body mods every thing and they only charged an extra £50 a year, im with Performance Direct and pay £1100 Fully comp with 3 years NCB and 6 points

Well for me with liv vic, i got insured and at the time had alloys, suspension and zorst which didnt add anything.
Now i had the kit done they said its still no extra, only vhanging engine cc makes it more and they will repair to modified if u have reciepts!!!

They should refund the unused part of your insurance to you, but ob u will have to start the year again for your no claims

At the moment I have no NCB, but have been driving just over a year, was on my dads insurance in the last car.......
My insurance is £1050 no NCB they saved me £4** on the next best quote I had.
Well I pay for my insurance monthly - so will they just stop taking the money out if I change?? And do you reckon someone will insure me for about the same amount??

well on my car (and i am a student) endsleigh on campus quoted me £1300, liverpool victoria quoted me £748 with all mods declared. HARD CHOICE 
i have Corsa B 1.4 16v SRi
4 points
and am 20 with 2yr NCB

liverpool victoria added £11 over whole year for my bodykit,alloys,suspension,exhaust and induction kit.
