Am making a new floor for me boot outta mdf, what thickness has everyone used for theres? also am making a box out of mdf to put my ps2 into what thickness to use for that also?]

18mm for sub box and 12mm for everythin else mate

i used 6mm plywood n its miles better i reckon as it weighs feck all

i used 18mm for boot floor and 12mm for shaping etc...
I wanted the weight to get the back end down!

Ply is a fair bit lighter but MDF is a bit easier to work with and keeps its shape better, ply tends to warp after a bit, shouldn't be too bad with it only being in back of a car though.
MDF is a fair bit cheaper than ply aswell, a 3/4 sheet is £10 whereas ply decent grade ply (far eastern) is more like £20.
