My engine warning light started coming on yesterday, so did a paperclip test and its come up as the Hall Effect Switch -- High Voltage.
Only just had a new dizzy cap go on, cos it was doing this before.
What could be the cause of this?
And how do I fix it?
Cheers, Corb.

you could try cleaning up the connectors to the switch, check the wiring, bit of wd on the connection.
vauxhall would sell you a new dizzy at £140 odd, but you can get a new hall effect switch from bosch dealers for about £30 so i heard.
someone on mig or clubcalibra will give you the bosch product number for it.
and there is a link somewhere to a guide to swapping the switch.
