I am soon going 2 b taking delivary ov a corsa sxi 1.3 CDTi
I no its not going 2 b the fastest thing on the road no matter wot i do 2 it but i was wondering wot kind of things can b done 2 it
chip, fillter, exaust, dump valve, increase in boost ect ect.
Has any 1 ever tuned 1 b4? Wot kinda gaines can b seen?
Is 100bhp possible?
I am not looking to beat a gsi or anything like that but i am just lookin for an increase from 70bhp.
Any info or contacts wud b grately appreciated
ps i am also lookin for a spring n shock kit that wont cost me an arm or a leg

Chip it mate, diesels respond briliantly to chipping cos they are quite restricted as standard, you'd probably get around 12 - 18 bhp just by getting a decent chip on it.

go see the derv doctor- chip takes it from 72 to 112bhp.

hundreds of chips out there. couple with a cone filter and turbo bk zoorst your looking at 120 bhp

erm no they aren't!!!!
all you need is :
1. turbo and exhaust manifold from a 1.5 td
2. turbo hoses from a 1.5 td
3. inlet manifold from 1.5 td
4. td fuel pump

so all that will just go straight on ma 1.7?
what kind of performance increase am i lookin at, top speed, bhp and 0-60 time? what about if i fit dump valve and chip it?
also i get about 52 miles per gallon now, would that drop alot or improve?
because i was thinkin about a seat ibiza 1.9 TDI, 130 bhp, which is 0-60 9.1 secs, top speed 129mph and 55.4 miles per gallon.

dump valve is a wate of time, cant chip it, you do the tweek in the tutorials section. mpg will only drop if you drive like a wally.

i had a quote from www.tunitbirmingham.co.uk for a unit they put onto a diesel corsa which took it to 82bhp and 156 lbs/ft. This unit would have cost 450 fitted.
