Mine does, that's how the BT guy fixed my line. I live next door and my line failed on the noise test the engineer did when the alarm engineer fucked the line up, but it still actually works fine.

nooooope. its just a normaly box :/ no removable cover on a facia too access the wires. and its like this,......

Well I don't think you can rule out something to do with the box, but you also stated you had problems with normal modems trying to dial up?
Could be too much noise on the line (assuming the box etc. is OK).

i may jsut of seen a fook up wiht our line!
i THINK 1 of our secondary sockets has a cap and surge arrestor, jsut red on a site that ya not sposed 2:/ wonder if this has any effect??

internal modems have ALWAYS worked how ever external 1's aint. and guess wot, my adsl 1 is an external 1

I told you lad, it shouldn't matter. And your secondary socket shouldn't affect it either I wouldn't have thought.

No, but you'd need a very long wire if you wanted to drive any where.
