This is probably a dumb question but why do some people fit after market panel filters to drilled air boxes? Will it help performance or sound in anyway and is it neccasary to get one if your drilling your airbox?Cheers for any help in advance

is there a way to mess up the drilling, dont think i drilled enough holes? drilled them in the side as you look at it, the side closest the wing and below closest to the wing. do i need more? used about a 3mm drill bit

well it depends what kind of sound you want, the bigger the hole the deeper the sound, smaller holes make more raspy notes
