Put my nova in for the mot today, first thing we did was emissions and failed on HC as it was 1650ppm where as limit was 1200ppm. With playing around we got the HC down but the CO went over. Spoke to another mechanic and he straight away said timing so i decided to remove the kent cams since its a quick job and I knew they wernt set right. Anyone else had this problem with them not being set 100%. Idles alot smoother now so taking it to check the emissions tomorrow again. Good thing was everything else passed

just for anyone who wants to know I took the car to my dads work (vauxhall) and put it on the tester today and passed no problem with the standard cams back in so will have my mot passed today
