This is on a new Sky BB connection using BT Wholesale... BT's website says I should be getting up to 6.5MB so WTF is going on?! It seems alot quicker than that and I haven't had any issues yet but still...

I would help you, but feel for comedy purposes I shall just write a load of rubbish and enjoy the thought that its taking your 244 kb/s connection a year and a day to download the page fully whilst you are sat there in hope that I have written the answer to your problems.

Just download something from somewhere like Microsoft.com and see how fast it's downloading at.

There was a test server url somewhere, I'll have to try and dig it out. Basically as loaf said above but they had much better server speeds. Gave a good indication to how your broadband is performing on a given day. On a decent connection (6.5-8mb) speeds then 700+ kbps was often possible.
