MarkM, to be honest, you'd be best off joining AVForums and buying a 2nd handle console. Just state you're only after a new (ish) console with the receipt when purchased.
One went last night for £190 delivered. Only 3 months old, with 2 Blu-rays and the receipt (it appears as you're the first owner!).

I got mine from HMV for £299.
Should have come with shit games with it but i asked and got Mirrors Edge and Dead Space for same price!

Should get a good deal on a PS3 this time of year, should be decent bundles about for good money.
Got mine for £200 with a game and a bluray, luckily found a guy who had it free with a phone contract and didnt know what it was worth, he never even opened the box, £200 cash and he was happy, not as happy as i was though!
