I'm looking to get a plug in USB broadband just to last me a month until I set my new monthly home broadband up (I've just cancelled old one), I've heard Vodafone are the best overall and I am a bit of a novice with all this sort of stuff, I just wondered what would people recommend based on these factors...
- I use the internet quite alot.
- I don't really download loads of music or films or anything, just use websites and watch the odd football highlights.
- I don't want a contract.
- I want to pay as little as possible yet still have a good product at the same time. (value for money) It's not good me paying 1p for Coco Pops internet and not being able to log on at 7pm at night.

I used a Vodafone one at work when we had a bad patch and it was very good.
I think we paid £35 for the stick aand 15 quid of credit, which, IIRC was 3GB.
Then you can topup £15 for another 3GB.
Just don't overdo it and it'll be fine
Signal and network was brilliant as well, quick enough but dont expect blindingly quick.

What is 3 like for reception/coverage? Do you ever get knocked off the net? Or sometimes struggle to sign on?

Not all all. Used to stay connected constantly and was quick as you like. I used to use limewire 'n all sorts. I even went on Xbox live with it although that did lag sometimes.
I can't comment for coverage in your area obviously, but mine was full bars.
I wasn't aware voda had started doing PAYG broadband actually. 3 is £10 for 1GB, £15 for 3GB and £20 for 7GB IIRC.

Anyway, got the 3 pay and go one for £30, from Carphone Warehouse, Vodafone tried everything in their power to get me to get something I didn't need.
