Do you have a spare headunit to try?

I'd say it's some wiring. Check the pin connections behind the head unit, sometimes they come loose and fall out. Failing that, check the wire in the door.
I don't imagine a blown speaker would have that effect, they either play horribly or don't play at all.

itll be the speaker wires touching the metal chassis mate. They put the stereo into safe mode.Check the wiring for being worn through.

check for wire touching metal or headunit, thats if all the speakers go off.
it will only be the speaker if only one speaker is not working, hense a loose connection.
i believe headunit failure is the most likely cause though

when i upgraded the speakers on my last corsa the front passenger side one had a dodgy connection that caused them all to go off.
just checked the front 2 speakers and the passenger side was torn. all the wires seemed fine
