I'm looking for a Netbook rather than going for the iPad option.

Wanting to go with Ubuntu as this is merely going to be used to browse the internet & i'd like something new to have a look at.

Wanting to pay no more than £200 and don't want a SSD.

Anyone seen any offered about

I'd avoid the Dell Mini stuff... I had a few of them come in at my last job. The mouse buttons are part of the touch pad, and it doesn't like more than 1 finger at once. (no jokes...)

That makes it almost impossible to highlight text, or select a few files at once etc.

Stick with the Samsung series. N150 if you can get one?

Also, +1 for Ubuntu Netbook Remix.

Don't bother with the netbook remix flavour of Ubuntu, just the normal 10.04 will do.

Screen resolution is some apps can be a bit difficult... Tops and bottom missing. Although, that's not really down to the OS. Not sure what point I'm making here...
