This is killing me.
I built my first ever pc yesterday and got it working first time and got windows 7 on it and everything running perfect.... result!
The only thing to have gone wrong so far is that it cannot join the homegroup created on my laptop and vice versa the laptop cant join one that the pc has created.
both computers are definetly on the same home network.
after a bit of research I tried various things like ensuring the peer networking group service has started and various other things which have not worked.
Does anyone have any ideas what else I could try? if I cant fix it ill reload windows on to see if that fixes it.

Beem through all them, nothing fixes it. I've literaly tried everything
ive now switched off the home group and i've managed to get into the public shared folders from each computer, not ideal but better than nothing.
