My brother in laws laptop keeps dropping network connection intermittently.

Just been up the day and tested things

Laptop works fine when wired.

My phone works fine connected to router wireless

Laptop connects but after a few minutes drops the connection and cant see laptop...after a few minutes it seems to pick it up and works fine again for a few minutes

Changed security, channel and SSID, even removed security and didnt make it any better.

Removed Wlan card from inside the laptop, cleaned and re seated it...same problem.

Duff Card? Any other suggestions?

Its a Dell inspiron 1501 with windows 7 and a dellcom DW1930 mini PCI WLAN

It might be a driver update that caused the problem! Try and "roll back" to a previous version of the drivers, and see if that sorts it.

Sometimes, new drivers actually CAUSE problems rather than fixing them!
