Hay peeps my GF's laptop is playing up....

basicaly its got a wlan built in and most of the time it comes up saying

"not got a wireless network adaptor installed or configured"

restart it a few times and it comes back working... now only thing she knows is from her ex saying its got a wireless network card built for xp... this is practicaly a new laptop and isnt a build yourself one..
Laptop is a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo LI1718
with a Atheros AR5007EG Wireless Network Adapter


any help would be appreciated.

Wireless net card built for XP could be your problem then?

first thing to try is reinstalling the driver

theres 2 drivers on the site so may be worth trying both, they can be found here :
