Anyone used the Dell Outlet for laptops? Want to buy a laptop as a gift for christmas, don't want to spend the earth but I don't want to end up with a piece of shit. Any comments on the outlet store welcome!

I think you get some kind of warranty with outlet stuff, can't really comment otherwise as I've never personally bought anything from it.

Depends. Most stuff ok but we got in one of the worst laptops I've seen this week, all dented and scratched. Normally gives you different gradings though.

Warranty is just the same as new stuff, they'll take it back as well if you don't want it, just need to leave time to order another.

have you thought about the currys clearance centres? i know theres one in manchester (no good for you obviously) but they might have another down south somewhere. that way you can go and check it in person before you shell out?

Had 2 laptops and 1 desktop from the Dell outlet, all been OK - one of the laptops had a few scratches under the base but nothing too bad. Worth it for the discount.
