I noticed the Vidahosting topped thread and they seem decent and reasonably priced.
Just wondering if anyone else uses them or who you all use for hosting a Magento store.
Our current host seems to be a bit temperamentally sluggish.

Magento is very memory intensive so need a hefty spec depending on how many concurrent users and people using magento admin.
I've just helped complete a migration from rackspace to a another supplier for our ecom setup.
We're using 4 x DL380 hex core, 64GB ram on each, 2 web heads & master, slave DB arrangement.
Guess depends on size of business but basically would over spec it.
Should add we're a 5Mill turnover on the web and looking to quadruple that with this platform.

company is smythson.com
old, luxury retailer. Now site is on new platform site is going through a remake over the next 3 months.
So far these servers aren't worked that hard - think web heads are doing about 1-2%
SQL does consume nearly all the ram on the db servers
