We used the strip lighting in Craig8's pic when filming Home For The Holidays. Will be using it on a few more tv shows coming up too.

Really cool to have. Because the rooms were all high celings, you really dont notice them (unless you look at them, then you will be blind). They were our only light source and worked well.

Philips 4w LED arrived this morning. Pretty impressed with it. Replaced a 50w halogen in the bathroom.

Rated as a 35w equivalent but looks just as bright as the rest and a nice warm colour. Can definitely see the reduction in power on the energy monitor.

Not sure if its ok in the bathroom fitting as its quite a tight fit, but we'll see. It does get warm in use, but that might be transferred off the other halogens which heat the metal fitting.

Will see if it lasts longer than Johns but will probably get a few more to replace more in the bathroom and kitchen.

Shame the reviews on regular 40-60w replacements are crap, thats the sort of bulb I use most!

My mum's downstairs is all lit with Phillips Master 7w LED bulbs and they are definitely a good replacement for 50w halogens - very impressed with them :-)

Mine are still looking good.

Also bought a GLS replacement however and its FAR too white. Described as warm white but its harsher than a flourescent. Disappointing on that front, but halogens are ace
