Realistically how much extra power could you get on an X16XE engine with mantzel/dbilas inlet,
janspeed cat back exhaust
janspeed 4-2-1 manifold
remap
and K&N induction kit (just thought id mention it)
and with the extra power, however great or small, how much extra real world speed/acceleration would you get? would this affect 0-60 times a great deal etc?
thanks
Matt

20-25 bhp gain, why not just get your cylinder head done and performance cams cost bout 500 but will give you gains of upto 50 bhp

would getting a valver be the better option then?
because on the X16 theres alot of money and time involved for not huge amounts of power increase no?

well i've got a x16xe and decating it will make a big diffrance plus 1400 and 1600cc XE motors are deliberately restricted by one of the most rubbish inlet manifolds ever designed, vauxhalldidn't want the corsa putting the 2.0 engines to shame

you'll be pushing 130bhp with that, if the remap is decent.
cams and headwork wont give you 50bhp, more like 15 on that spec...

The standard cylinder head is very efficient and will flow up to 180bhp on 1600
So why headwork if it will flow 180BHP standard?

because the cat isnt that restrictive as it creates backpressure which in turn helps with torque delivery
