if the rev counter is doing that, suggests fautly wiring somewhere, which could also be the cause of your problems

Nope Nothing to do with the Rev counter..
Took it in to the garage and had it looked at he couldnt find what was up with it..he checked all the pipes ect and then bought a part..which didnt solve the problem...
So he Re-checked everything and it was a Air leak on one of the main Hoses..So he fixed it and the new part and re-tuned it and it ran perfected...
But When you leave it for a few hours it re-sets it self then gos back to running shit...
So he said hes gettin a machine to erase Everything On the Ecu and put it back to factory...He said if that fails its fucked..

never heard so much crap in my life.
its called fobbing you off.
he will have somthing like a SnapOn Code reader, which means you can wipe the fault code the ECU has stored (he can not remap change anything at all really with it) then whats happening is after some time your ECU is learning the car again and the fault is coming back.
In a round about way he can not be arsed to check everything, hes gone for thw quick easy option, an when that hasent worked hes fuked you off

almost 100% its a wiring prob.
No air leak, split pipe will cause the rev needle to jump like that!
Check the green tachometer wiring going to the clocks and make sure its not split anywhere

we know what the rev counter is.
well we do and dont
It has a complete wire(no splits etc) from the coil to the back of the dash.
Will prob need replacing at some time to see if it sorts it.
