Right just played a game.
I'll have to reserve full judgement as its only a beta but I am not impressed one bit.
Its slow and jerky, the physics are awful, players float through the air when they jump. The guns are really tappy and you don't get the feeling you are hitting someone like you do in COD. There is no sense of being in a battleground at all, just feels all wrong.
As a say though only a beta but is going to have to improve massively if im going to part money for it.

Also when you get hit, there is no movement of your player like in COD, so there is no sensation that you are underfire, apart from the little red marker.
TBH give me COD and its campers any day over this

I've just ruined everyones day havent i  especially poor Matty's!
By all means give it a go, you might like it, but for me it felt like i was back on the PS2. Games don't need amazing graphics to be good but they should at least be smooth. This isn't by any stretch of the imagination.
It was like, i decided to change to the Sniper and my god it was just  You look through the scope at a million miles an hour, its seemed way too steady, fuck knows if there was an option to hold you breath like cod to steady aim but you didnt need it!
Also when you fire an intervention in COD you get that awesome BANG and recoil on this there was fuck all, tiny bit of recoil and hardly any sound
As i say, its a BETA, so it will get better but its the amount it needs to improve that worries me

Just play it Matt. I want you to experience it, because so far we have had Mike who quite enjoyed it and me who thought it was wank so be good to hear more peoples views!

Its ok. Not a patch on COD. The level seems massive. It could be good if they just made it like COD but on a bigger scale. I cant see it happening.

I like it, but then i prefer the Gameplay of Rainbow six Vegas to CoD
CoD by all means is an awesome game and the Best first person shooter out there!
Its just the fact that CoD have given the players the abillity ruin it for everyone else!
Also i havent said this game is better than CoD i just stated that imo it will be more Enjoyable to play!
Sorry to build everyones hopes up

I suppose we will just have to wait till the full game comes out but I'm not getting my hopes up that this is going to be better than COD.

I can taste the bitter disappointment in this thread It's a BETA... You give feedback on what is horse shit and what is not. I'll reserve judgement until I actually play the BETA, and then the full game. If it's pants, I'll go back to WaW until Battlefield 2

Was downloading that huge update last night but my area had a power cut in early hours of the morning so it didnt finish  Started it again before coming to work though

JJ I'm not too fussed tbh. If it keeps me going until Battlefield 2, then I'm happy. If it gives me hilarity, then I'll be utterly delighted. I know now why I hate CoD, and it's just that, I've lost the laugh factor. I hee haw'd for literal DAYS with the SPAS. Combine it with the Grip, and Selight of hand and you get fun. 18's WERE hilarious. And I actually did cry with laughter at the Riot Shield. Now it's just not funny

It's sick but I also thought this You'll see me on the news, and you'll see me running around pumping the shotgun into peoples' chest saying DOUBLE KILL etc.
On a related note, played MAG last night, and I have to say, it's not as bad as I feared The Sniper takes two or three hits, but it's not actually a sniper. Just a normal rifle with a scope (it's damage is 3.5 out of 10 ) so I do have faith. It wasn't the slightest bit laggy with a fair few players too! The graphics and (as you said JJ) physics aren't quite up to scratch, but it does say before the game that this is nowhere near a finished product. I have faith again

Is it good then? I saw a few beta videos and it looked very slow paced, but when i saw the developers one ages ago it looked really fast and exciting.

It is actually quite good when you get used to it aye! And it isn't as quick as CoD, but it's still in development really!

I quite liked it when i played it last night, actually didnt want to put it down even though its no where near finished. I reckon I'll be buying it. Maps are huuuuuuuuuuuuge!!
