My point was, does the iphone do anything amazing the s3 doesnt, and vice versa?
Over two years, the iphone will work out £15 a month more expensive to have. Is it worth that expense?

S3 isn't 4G unless you have an LTE version.

Anyone know when o2 will be sending them out if ordered online? Just says 3 weeks delivery when I go through the options but didnt want to go ahead with it as would rather try and get one in the shop.
Pissed off with o2 aswell after reading on the site about pre ordering online or on the phone, only said out of stock on site so gave them a call. 1 hour on hold later i get told their site is wrong and you cant preorder over the phone!

O2 are fucking bellends! I lost it with the guy on the phone after wasting an hour and said there was nothing he could do
I have a mint condition 4 in black if your interested pow, always kept in a hardback case with front and back screen protectors
I dont see the point in releasing 4G, you would think they would concentrate on getting 3G in all parts of the uk, I can get it 30 mins either side of where I live and thats it

4G will improve coverage, so yes, there is a point to it.

2.75G is EDGE, 3G is UTMS, 3.5G is HSDPA, then you get HSPA, 4G, LTE etc etc

LTE - 173 Mb/s!
Best that is offered over here is 25 Mb/s. Are the providers restricting it to not compete with broadband or are there technical issues in providing such high speeds?
Is LTE not just LTE?
Does the frequency have any influence on LTE speed?

Nothing to stop them competing with broadband but its not going to be cheap. Many are saying its going to be around a £10 premium over the normal tarrif.
So while it might be really fast you will only have 1GB/2GB limit. I doubt you will see unlimited on LTE for a while.

Engadget review is in, seems pretty positive.
quote: The iPhone 5 is a significant improvement over the iPhone 4S in nearly every regard, and in those areas that didn't see an upgrade over its predecessor -- camera, storage capacity -- one could make a strong case that the iPhone 4S was already ahead of the curve. Every area, that is, except for the OS. If anything, it's the operating system here that's beginning to feel a bit dated and beginning to show its age.
Still, the iPhone 5 absolutely shines. Pick your benchmark and you'll find Apple's thin new weapon sitting at or near the top. Will it convince you to give up your Android or Windows Phone ways and join the iOS side? Maybe, maybe not. Will it wow you? Hold it in your hand -- you might be surprised. For the iOS faithful this is a no-brainer upgrade. This is without a doubt the best iPhone yet. This is a hallmark of design. This is the one you've been waiting for.

fucking lol at trying to justify the iphone 5 underwhelming minor upgrades as due to the old being ahead of its time
that review is undoubtably by a fanboy
