Can't believe that kind of damage didn't get picked up during QC. Looks like its been caused by the actual tool/machine that creates the tapered edge.

That's a shit picture too just took it with missus iPhone.

But so far 4 phones sent and not a good one yet, originals went back today now using 3 & 4 while 5 & 6 get delivered.

Also got a call today, saying about the lightning adaptor mistake and apple won't be supplying them.

Really, I never had a call about that.

My mate got an email from his Chinese supplier saying they won't be sending any adapters as they can't get them to work so he spent all last night refunding people. Gutted for the people who sold 1000's

Yeah she was quite adamant she had to speak to me also, 3 calls, 2 messages, 2 e-mails asking when she could call.

The choice is too much.

I might actually have to drag my lazy ass into town tomorrow to check some of them out and see whats what. I will probably just default to getting a black one. Although I am tempted to ignore the 5 and wait for the 5s.

Might get rid of mine, its pissing me off... This is happening randomly when on camera mode....

Kept trying to get it back up but couldn't, hence the picture of a car park. Quickly saved the pic when I saw it this morning.

Get it replaced, clearly it's screwed.
Although i was reading this morning on a tech blog of users complaining about dodgy purple hues in photos - apparently something to do with the lens.

I've always gone straight through apple store for repairs/replacements and just taken the handset in.

I've had camera like that in a 4 after replacing, faulty camera. Apple will swap the phone out. Could even ring apple help from online and arrange to swap it in Liverpool store this weekend or sooner etc.

Of course not, it's a faulty product. You'll get it replaced free of charge.

The above looks like a faulty sensor.

Like Daniel says, ring Apple, they'll sort you out.

I still reckon the best phone I've ever had was a Nokia 8210. It was small, and you could make phonecalls/send and store 10 texts on it. It had an "app" - Snake - that didn't hassle me to play it by popping up a push notification telling me my mate Steve had played it recently. The screen didn't get all greasy cos it had actual keys (remember those?) The Maps were better than Apple Maps - on account of it not having any maps, and the battery lasted about two weeks.

Aah... the good old days. Now where's my pipe and slippers.

That said, Apple have really outdone themselves with the iPhone 5. I'm quite used to Apple products scratching if you so much as look at them - but to get one ready-scratched out of the box has saved me the hassle of doing it myself. Nice one, Apple - cheers.

When I take to apple store, do I need box, charger, headphones etc? If they change, guess box with IMEI will change, so when I come to sell it wouldn't be a match....?
