Right, i'm at uni throught the week so only use my car on weekends.

last weekend i started it up and for a good 15 mins when ever i try to accelerate it splutters and miss fires like a shite, until it gets near 3000rpm, then it jerks and drives fine, until you drop back down the revs. it also makes the exhaust pop a lil and sounds like there is a delay on firing

if i go and drive it now though (after using it only yesterday) it won't do it.

any ideas? after about 15 mins the thing runs fine! had the head gasket done feb inc skimmed head, oil is clean, not leaking coolant, spark plugs seem fine, what could it be? (no fault code showing)

moisture basically within the cap...it can be overnight condensation, it could also be your battery on the way out?

right could this be my cat on its way out?

the way the exhaust pops and splutters makes me think this may be the cause, and as it goes after about 15 mins (of town driving, not really going above 3k rpm) when its warmed?

how can i find if this is right without replacing cat? would an emissions test find out? i think when its revved i can hear a bit of noise coming from cat like its a bit rough/ quiet popping.
